Already got a current CCNA? Get credit for the HP ATA!
A little less publicised fact of the HP ATA programme is that if you have a current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, then you can use it in lieu of the HP ATA Networking Solutions exams on your pathway to take the HP ATA Cloud Exam.
So in essence this means:
Looking at the HP ATA certification journey, you can see that the HP Institute have deliberately made the HP ATA Networking at the equivalent level of the CCNA:
To get credit for your CCNA, you need to use the HP ATA Fast Pass facility, which you can access here: http://www.certiport.com/Portal/desktopdefault.aspx?page=common/pagelibrary/HP_Fast_Pass.html
It states:
If you have successfully completed the Cisco CCNA certification, you do not need to complete the HP ATA – Networks certification requirement before moving on to the HP ATA – Cloud certification.
To submit proof of your active CCNA certification, please perform the following steps:
- Log into Integral 7.
- Select Publish Credentials.
- Select that you want to publish the CCNA credential.
- Enter HPFastPass@certiport.com as the recipient email address to receive the verification report.
- Select to preview and then to publish the report. A confirmation message will appear.
If you already have the CCNA and have used the HP ATA Fast Pass solution, please let me know in the comments below how easy or difficult it was to do.
